Publisher's Summary

Please Note: The audio has been updated for better sound quality.

This audiobook was created based on Clayton Christensen's landmark book The Innovator's Dilemma. This was Mr. Christensen's synopsis of his book for the Harvard Business Review. The audio tracks listed here cover the key elements of Mr. Christensen's book. This audiobook emphasizes the Idea in Brief "Does my organization have the right resources, processes, values, and team to innovate?" Then it covers the right structure for your specific type of innovation. He identifies where capabilities reside, in resources, processes, and values. He then addresses the migration of capabilities, illustrates it with the example of Digital Equipment (DEC), defines sustaining versus disruptive innovation, how to create capabilities to cope with change - internally, in a spinout, or an acquisition - and how to fit the tool to the task.

Great book but poor sound quality

This is a great book but it should be recorded again. The sequel: "competing against luck" it's a much better experience to listen.

Not at all close to the original book

Can't relate to the original work by Clayton Christiansen and published with Harvard. Narration was ok but many concepts left behind.

Read the book

Good content but the Narrator sounds like Rick sanchez from Rick and morty! Read it as a book instead

Bad narration

Just about impossible to listen too, only goes for an hour but felt like an eternity.

Lost me.

I am a fan of the full book but this audio book even after listening to twice completely lost me.

I would prefer to have the full book with examples or case studies to make real.

Awful

Quite possibly the worst audiobook I have ever heard. The narrator is incredibly boring to listen to and it’s difficult to follow what he says as his pace is awful. If I could rate this zero stars I would. DO NOT BUY!

Terrible sound quality

I didn’t realise this is only a summary of the book. It’s basically a poor audio quality speech, very hard to listen to. Audible should’ve made that more clear, it was definitely a waste of a credit. I couldn’t finish it, super tedious to listen to.

Not the full book - Save your time

I lasted around 20minutes before I had to stop. Don’t buy it even if free.

Don’t recommend

Very complex topics seem to be skimmed over in a few sentences, very hard to follow without being taken on a journey with more examples or analogies. Pace of narrator is choppy, with odd breaks which makes it even harder to listen to.
