There are three rules Brooke Sullivan must follow as a new nurse practitioner at a men’s maximum-security prison:
1) Treat all prisoners with respect.
2) Never reveal any personal information.
3) Never EVER become too friendly with the inmates.
But none of the staff at the prison knows Brooke has already broken the rules. Nobody knows about her intimate connection to Shane Nelson, one of the penitentiary’s most notorious and dangerous inmates.

I was unbelievably wrong about this book!
Solid 3-star read, and OMG the twists kept coming, i THOUGHT i had predicted the ending I would have sworn my life on it, but I was so wrong, so unbelievably wrong.
I am deducting the two stars because i feel like some parts of the story are left open-ended and not wrapped up, and certain background characters deserved some more exploration in relation to the main protagonist, however i would still recommend this book to anyone who loves a short thriller full of suspense and twists.

Story had twists but writing was average. Present tense not a good choice especially for past. Narrator whispered at times which was annoying.

Annoying narrator
Good story but the narrator is extremely irritating and over acts the whole thing which ruins it a bit

This was a plot twist until the very end
Just when I thought I knew who do it the plot twist kicked in. Without a doubt one of the best books I’ve ever read

A great mystery with lots of twists.

Not expecting that
I love the plot twist aspect of Frieda’s books. Although this had a shocking twist, it felt almost rushed towards the end. I liked it nonetheless.

Couldn't stop listening
Gripping, action packed story that keeps you guessing all the way. Very easy to listen to the narration. Will definitely be listening to more books by this author.
