About this listen
At home, Richard Kuklinski was a dedicated suburban family man; on the street, he was the Iceman, a professional hit man and lethal scam artist, a man so heartless he kept one of his victims frozen for over two years to disguise the time of death. His personal body count was over 100, but the police couldn’t touch him. Then undercover agent Dominick Polifrone posed as a mobster and began a deadly game of cat and mouse.
The Iceman chronicles Kuklinski’s grisly career and exposes his murderous double life.
Anthony Bruno, a crime writer, is the author of 11 crime fiction novels and four books of nonfiction true crime. His nonfiction work The Seekers: A Bounty Hunter's Story, was nominated for an Edgar Award in 2001 for best fact crime book. His novel Bad Apple was adapted for television in 2004.

great story and even better narrator
I'm not really into murdery true crime but this was a dope book. A crazy true story, A narrator who nails the reading and even does the different characters. Can't fault it. Richard just wanted to provide for his family and things got out of hand, I suspect. God bless his sweet heart and I hope he finally found some peace.

Great Book
This was a great listen. As a fan of true crime podcasts I enjoyed this longer length listen than my normal quick podcasts. Easy to follow the story and easy to listen to.

Great narrator meets well written story
The book is about a killer nicknamed the Iceman and the tense undercover operation that took him down.
Characters are properly established and given time to breathe. A lot of details are provided on how the mob does "business".
That's contrasted with the other lives of these men, especially the killer as a family man although it is made clear that his wife is terrified of his black moods

Great book
This book depicts all sides of the story, from the Ice Man himself, Law Enforcement and from those who were involved in these murders and vast criminal enterprises. Very good read.
