The Steady Pace That Lulled Me Into Thinking The Book Was Less Profound Than It Is

I loved the steady pace of this book. It’s almost hypnotic in its telling and yet there’s a continual undercurrent of malevolence that at first I couldn’t see where it could possibly come from until it did. The book isn’t a fast paced read, but believe me, the pace is brilliant in its execution once you reach an understanding of Cassie’s plight. A very impressive book with excellent narration.
