Publisher's Summary
The operators face their demons
Mission complete, Alpha team enjoys their first chance to breathe and tend to their humanity. But the darkness leaves them alone with their demons - and those who have found love may yet learn that it is fatally incompatible with duty....
The carrier faces unimagined threats
The JFK steams for Africa despite rumors of lone Zulus still wandering belowdecks. But when Dr. Park and Sarah Cameron are trapped in an isolated compartment, they learn that one Zulu can kill you just as dead as ten million - while up on the flight deck, a lone assassin inflicts horrific damage on the hopes for a cure....
London preps for humanity's last stand
Amarie and the Tunnelers find themselves resettled in a chillingly postapocalyptic London, where mini outbreaks are hushed up, and the displaced will cut your throat just to take your shoes - all as history's largest fixed fortification goes up along the M25 ring road around the capital....
The Royal Marines drop into hell
Lieutenant Jameson and his battered Royal Marines launch, by air, to retrieve a rare biomedical device, which is indispensable to developing a vaccine - but that lies buried at the center of a perilously rotting structure in a city of millions (all dead). When the walls come down and the horde descends, Jameson may be the last man standing - and his only chance of survival lies with a lone Apache pilot who refuses to obey her orders to abandon him.... Hope survives - but the story of humanity is not yet written.

Great series
Better and better each book. Love it. I cant stop listening and just move on immediately to the next book each time. R C Bray is the best narrator.

Arisen strikes again
Another great read in the ongoing saga of the apocalypse survivors. Numbers are dwindling and the action is unrelenting. More more more

A good read but a bit of a 'stocking filler'.
This is a catch-your-breath book after Exodus. A few good chapters but it feels like a stocking filler. Definitely setting the scene for the next phase of operations for the A-Team.

Inconsistent with repeated battering of details
I'm going to be pretty sad if the rest of the series continues in the same style of this book. 6hrs through and I'm constantly rolling my eyes at relentless repetitiveness of details the read knows so well. "It was a runner, extremely dangerous and can run the distance of 34 baseball fields in a mere matter of moments, never relenting or giving it's victims a moment's respite, continuing to blah blah blah" this book is riddled with lines like this making simple scenes endless.
There are also inconsistencies which made my eyes roll a few times, a prime example is SPOILER ALERT:
When the doctor, storeman and bodyguard women go down into the depths of the carrier to find some stuff. It's described as a labyrinth of bulkheads and compartments, with sealable doors/hatches at every turn. Queue zombie scene, then all of a sudden theyre stuck in a massive compartment with the exit a huge distance away.....
Anyway, absolutely love the series but I'm feeling it falling apart. I'm just hoping I'm not the only one who felt this way and the writer has done something about it.
