Christina Lauren
About this listen
A perfectionist maid of honour and a carefree, surfer-bro best man team up to plan a wedding and end up finding a spark of their own in the first audio original from author duo Christina Lauren, a full-cast sequel to their New York Times bestseller The Unhoneymooners.
Ami is determined to break the Torres family wedding curse. Her own disaster of a reception ended with all the guests getting food poisoning, and she left her cheating husband soon after. But even though she's still processing her own divorce, Ami won't let her twin sister Olive's day be anything but perfect. Olive may think she wants a private ceremony in Maui, where she and her fiancé Ethan first fell in love, but Ami knows better and secretly flies the whole Torres family out to surprise the couple. Now she and her meticulously organized binder have less than two weeks to get everything together for the big day, thousands of miles from home.
Enter Brody, Ethan's best man, who happens to be living in Maui and insists on helping with the preparations. His playfully elaborate schemes and happy-go-lucky attitude are the last thing Ami needs. When sparks start to fly, could it derail all her carefully laid plans?
Equal parts hilarious and swoon-worthy, this full-cast production is your ticket to the ultimate destination wedding, bringing to life both a captivating couple and an unforgettable family. The Honeymoon Crashers is Christina Lauren at their charming, hilarious best.

Cute story
Great follow up to The Unhoneymooners.
It was lovely to reacquaint myself with Olive, Ethan, Amy and the rest of the Taurus brood, the family brings such ‘my big fat Greek wedding’ vibes. Brodie was a great hero for Amy, they balanced each other out nicely.
I did feel a little underwhelmed for the first quarter of the story but as Amy started to chill and Brodie picks up his teasing the laugh out loud moments are a plenty.
I have listened to more immersive full cast audio books and I didn’t like when it switched to more a traditional style when the female narrator did brodies voice too and vice versa but overall the performances were great I just feel there could have been more room for greater depth to the production.
But still I am giving it 5 stars overall because the story and characters were fantastic.

I liked it!
This was to me a fan service book. It was almost an extended epilogue and I am totally here for it. The narrators were good and I would probably listen to this again. HEA! Love the Latina family vibes.

Enjoyable enough but a little lacklustre
The honeymoon crashers wasn’t entirely what I expected and Christina Lauren can (and have) done better. I loved Brody and thought he was a great character, but I didn’t completely believe his and Ami’s chemistry. There were moments of delight but overall it felt rushed and too short to make their journey together feel cemented and believeable. I didn’t have the time to feel completely invested so while I enjoyed it enough for what it was, overall it felt a bit lacklustre.

I need time to process
The unhoneymooners was the book that got me back into a love for reading. Listening to it again brought me back to that holiday and I just love it. So this brings me to The Honeymoon Crashers. Is it we like what we are used to listening to? I don’t know but I just didn’t love this story or the narration. It was ok, but at the price of a full sized book buy with caution.

Cute Short Story
It’s nothing like the Unhoneymooners but in a good way. Dialogue was believable and the chemistry of all the characters really gel well!

4.5 stars worth of awesomeness!
I listened to this as a full cast audiobook and it was awesome!! 4.5 stars worth of awesomeness! All audiobooks should be full cast, or at least duets in my opinion. This was just as much fun if not more than the first book. The love connection was fun, light and came together naturally. The wedding planning and all the shenanigans was funny and thoroughly enjoyable. A wonderful experience! If you enjoyed the Unhoneymooners, you should definitely give this a go!

Bad bad bad bad
If you liked the unhoneymooners do not get this, it’s nothing like it, seems like it was written in a day and the performances are cringe. You’ve been warned.

Cringe
I absolutely loved The Unhoneymooners. This, however, was cringeworthy. I hated Ami in the original, and the performance of her character in this just sealed my dislike. Too many voices, too many high-pitched squeals, and not one of CL’s best works.
Wasted my credit on this.
