About this listen
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In this formula that Christians recite as though on autopilot lie the secrets for healing our world, rekindling our visionary imagination, and manifesting the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. It’s an astonishing claim, but one that is supported by Cynthia Bourgeault’s exploration of Trinitarian theology—and by her bold work in further articulating the deep truth it contains. She looks to the ancient concept in light of the ideas of G. I. Gurdjieff and Jacob Boehme to reveal the Trinity as the “hidden driveshaft” within Christianity: the compassionate expression of the Uncreated Reality in creation.

Not an easy read ...
This was probably the most difficult Cynthia book I've read. I find the reader quite a challenge as she seems to be inappropriately enthusiastic. You almost feel that she's trying to sell you the story - or perhaps she's just a devotee who can't help but try to sell it. In all fairness, after dropping the book for a while, I went back to it, and found that the reader got into the zone (as I did) and no longer intruded on the meaning of the words.
That brings me to the main comment - this is a book that I just couldn't grasp at an intellectual level, especially by listening to it. But at another level, I found myself understanding it. I've had exposure to the Laws of 3 and 7, so it wasn't foreign, just really hard to get your head around. I have to commend the incredible academic prowess of the author, and more so, the incredible depth of spirituality. I felt I was taken into the realm of the creative process, but left with no intellectual appreciation of it, not even a 'feeling' - more an understanding by being submerged in it.
