Pageturning historical fiction
The two stories of present day Mia and early 19th century Philadelphia combine beautifully in this tale of family secrets and witchcraft. Not fantasy, this story is grounded in history and the persecution of women who practised as healers and cunning women, with plenty of twists. Set in modern Brisbane and 1820s England, we follow Mia as she learns as much about herself as her ancestors.
The audio version is easy listening with a vibrant cast of characters.
