About this listen
While most of his friends have moved on to "real" careers, Jon Buchanan is content skating through life as a part-time waiter and gay porn star. Firmly single thanks to a previous relationship disaster, he focuses his spare time on Henry, a dear friend dying of cancer. And with Henry's happiness paramount, Jon is on a mission to help Henry meet his recently discovered grandson.
Isaac Gregory hasn't set foot outside for the past year. He has everything he needs delivered, and his remaining family knows better than to visit. When a complete stranger shows up claiming to be his grandfather - with a distractingly handsome younger man in tow - his carefully structured routines are shaken.
Despite his instant attraction, Jon senses that Isaac is too fragile for a relationship. Yet tentative friendship grows into genuine companionship. And when Henry's health begins to fail, they realize that fate brought them together for a reason.
Contains mature themes.

Porn star with a heart of gold!
Shut-in Isaac Gregory suffered great trauma at the hands of his father, leaving him nearly completely deaf and severely agoraphobic. While his father can no longer hurt anyone, when Isaac’s grandfather, Henry, tries to make contact, Isaac is very untrusting. Porn star Jon Buchanan sees Henry as a father figure and is distraught that Henry is dying of cancer. He’ll do anything to try and unite Isaac with his grandfather but doesn’t count on falling for Isaac. Like the rest of this series, AM Arthur doesn’t hold back here about putting her characters through really hard times but it’s heartening that they survive and thrive in the long run. Isaac’s issues are severe and they don’t magically disappear, while Jon feels really uncomfortable when an emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend pops back into his life and he realises he’s being stalked. I loved the hopeful story, the twist in the tail, and Isaac’s gentle nature. I thought Jon acted out of character at one point, but it didn’t ruin the story for me. US voice actor Guy Locke did a good job on the audio.

Wow
John & Isaac are amazimg together and everything Isaac has had to endure in his young life is awful but he is an amazing man and everything he overcomes is a great credit to him.

Unexpectedly great
I’m so glad I came across this series. This is book 3 and they have all been great. Well written, great characters and interesting as in,the characters have their own stories and you get to learn about issues most would not come across in real life. First 3 are free on Audible Plus.
