Tom Barlow and Virginia Thompson had a forbidden love that would be the envy of any couple. Tom and Virginia would sneak out of their houses and meet at their favorite place to gaze at the stars and share an evening of passion. Their secret place to rendezvous was this old wooden bridge known as the Old Mill Bridge that was in the middle of nowhere. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. Any passionate noises that came from both of them would go unnoticed. Not many of the town's people would travel down to the Old Mill Bridge because the bridge was deemed unsafe and could collapse at any time. There was a sign next to the bridge that read "Beware Not Safe for Vehicle Crossing".
