Her father doubts Tom's ability to provide securely for her. But Tom has a plan to prove him wrong. And until then, passionate Rebecca refuses to wait to be with him.
But fate has other plans.
Tragedy strikes, shattering the couple’s dreams of a life together. Vulnerable and alone, how will Rebecca survive without her soulmate?
With the threat of bringing shame on herself and her family nipping at her heels, Rebecca can see only one way out. Is she strong enough to take it?

overall good story
This book is very well written and very well narrated.
But Rebecca is a hateful nasty character..I just wanted to slap her into sense and I cannot understand why all the supporting characters constantly pampered her calling her sweet and caring, where I found her self centered and spitrful. Adam is an unrealistic character too he is too forgiving and understanding, and then later his change just doesn't sit right either.. there is no way he would be so tolerant of a brat like Rebecca let alone fall in love with her.

I have found a new author
I loved this, the first story in the series. There were a few surprises along the way but it was great to listen to the way the heroine in particular grew. Overcoming adversity back in those harsh times was difficult enough without a menacing person contributing towards the situation so I was glad when he met his hellish ending.
