About this listen
Me and Will. Will and Me. A perfect match. He said he would always be there for me, but it’s been a year since he drained his coffee, walked out the front door and vanished.
Did he leave me? Or did something terrible happen? I’m scared someone finally found out about what happened on the drive home that night...
I lie awake at night trawling the internet for rental properties, desperate for an escape. Until I see my husband’s gorgeous face smiling back at me from a photograph on the fireplace in someone else’s home, and something inside of me snaps.
At the house, I find no trace of him and the woman who lives there has no idea who I am. But I’m certain she’s hiding something behind the locked door upstairs. I know that if I want answers, I have to stay.
You might think that what’s inside that room is the answer to all my questions and the end of all my pain. But it’s only the beginning…
Nail-biting and completely gripping, The Happy Couple will make you question how well you really know the ones you love. Perfect listening for anyone who adored The Wife Between Us, The Girl on the Train or Gone Girl.

Not bad- like a Wednesday night tv drama
If this was a movie, it wouldnt be a blockbuster; more of a Wednesday night telemovie. The narrator did a great job

first time I've read by this author
it was a reasonable story, at least not predictable. although some reviews were a little overly enthusiastic for the suspenseful story, which is was not.
I would try other books by this author, but I will pay attention to the reader reviews. it was not a page turner, but was ok.
Michael Robothom is still my favourite, and the author of Dark matter can not compare to how they build the story and suspense.

So Disappointing!
At the beginning, I had high expectations, but gradually this book disintegrated into nothing for me.
The ending was so ridiculous and childish I felt.
Quite a few hours of an Audible book I’ll never get back.

Terrible
I don’t leave reviews but I want to avoid others wasting their money. Boring story, weak female characters that are so wet it’s untrue and the most inevitable “twist” possible. It’s a two star because the narrator was pretty good considering what she had to read.

BORING!! Do not recommend
I hardly ever leave reviews but....
This book was boring and frustrating.
Chapters swap from present and past but are confusing.
Lead character ‘Jo’ is a wet sponge. Suzanne is just as bad.
Uneventful ending, no twist as story was predictable.
I returned it for my credit back.
