Distracting narrator

I find this narrator terribly distracting and sometimes difficult to understand even though she speaks perfect English. Her volume, pauses and inflections seem all wrong and made it difficult to enjoy the wonderful stories.

First sample this book before you buy it

I found the narrator’s style to be very irritating. This is obviously personal so be sure to check that you don’t also find it grating.
