About this listen
Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling author Cathy Glass returns with her first novel. The Girl in the Mirror is a moving and gripping story of a young woman who tries to piece together her past and uncovers a dreadful family secret that has been buried and forgotten.
When Mandy learns her much-loved Grandpa is dying, she is devasted and returns to the house where she spent so many wonderful summers as a child. But the childhood visits ended abruptly and those happy days are now long gone. Having lost touch with the rest of her family, Mandy returns as a virtual stranger to her aunt's house to nurse her grandfather.
Mandy hardly recognises the house that she loved so much as a child and it is almost as though her mind has blanked it out. But as certain memories come back to her, Mandy begins to piece together the events that brought a sudden end to her visits that fateful summer. What she discovers is so painful and shocking that she understands why it was buried and never spoken of by the family for all those years.

Bravo
Wow I thought the night the angles came was sad ( which it is and I highly recommend).
The story of many is so sad and complex.
This story is different to the normal Cathy glass books but I felt for Mandy.
What truly caught me off guard though was the second story line of grandpa. I won’t say anything as I won’t ruin the story like buy it truly hurt my heart and made me honestly evaluate my relationship with my parents as they are ageing.
To paint a picture of just how captivating it is I work in a abettor ( lamb processing plant ) and listen to audiobooks on my head phones.
It’s a rough environment and I not only once but several times had to fight back tears and failing on one of those occasions. It truely hurt yet stimulated my heart. A must read / listen. 10 out of 10

I didn’t enjoy this book compared to Cathy glass other books. Found it a bit bit boring and struggled to get through it
