Publisher's Summary
Final novel in the chilling and epic new fantasy series from the bestselling and critically-acclaimed author of PRINCE OF THORNS and RED SISTER.
'If you like dark you will love Mark Lawrence. And when the light breaks through and it all makes sense, the contrast is gorgeous' ROBIN HOBB
The green world overwhelms all of Yaz’s expectations. Everything seems different but some things remain the same: her old enemies are still bent on her destruction.
The Corridor abounds with plenty and unsuspected danger. To stand a chance against the eyeless priest, Eular, and the god-like city-mind, Seus, Yaz will need to learn fast and make new friends.
The Convent of Sweet Mercy, like the Corridor itself, is packed with peril and opportunity. Yaz needs the nuns’ help – but first they want to execute her.
The fate of everyone squeezed between the Corridor’s vast walls, and ultimately the fate of those labouring to survive out on ice itself, hangs from the moon, and the battle to save the moon centres on the Ark of the Missing, buried beneath the emperor’s palace. Everyone wants Yaz to be the key that will open the Ark – the one the wise have sought for generations. But sometimes wanting isn’t enough.
THE GIRL AND THE MOON is the third and final volume in The Book of Ice trilogy.

An amazing Finale
Loved this so much & it revealed so much about Abeth and the Book of the Ancestor trilogy as well! In fact, I think I enjoyed this more! I love how it ended and who Yaz ends up with was a big surprise to me, but I still love it! I shed many tears in this one again, especially at the end. The whole story of Abeth now lives in my head rent free!

Just keeps getting better
Another spectacular addition to Mark Lawrence’s amazing work. Really enjoyed the complexity of how all the characters were connected and enjoyed the surprise connections from previous books in Marks well crafted world.
Can’t wait to see where he takes us next!
For those who don’t quite get it on their first listen, I’d encourage you to give it another go. I discovered so much more and was surprised by how much I missed on my first listen.
My absolute favourite writer. Well done Mark.
Many people criticise the narrator, but the majority appreciate her work. I think she did an amazing job

I got lost
I struggled to finish this book. I think in part because I had less bursts of time to listen to it and in part because of the story itself? And particularly because Red Sister was the first series I listened to, then Prince if Thorns, then Red Queens War.. so trying to remember how this book timeline fitted into Red Sister became a little challenging. And somehow I felt I lost interest in it all.
But I loved all the previous trilogies and would rate them as my current fantasy favourites!
