Close to my heart!
My Dad was on Dialysis from when I was 13 to 26 when he got a kidney transplant then died when I was 30 and he was only 52. Organ Donation is so important to me so I really felt alot in this story. Twists that I could never have guessed. I am so in love with Josephines stories. A definite must listen!

Thought provoking
I really enjoyed this book up until the last half hour. I thought it became a bit far-fetched at that point which was disappointing because up until then it was very interesting. Didn’t spoil the book totally and certainly worth a listen..

An enjoyable easy listen about family&connections
Took me a bit to get into this book at first, once I worked out and got to know the characters, but I’m glad I stuck with it. It was an enjoyable easy listen with enough interesting plots to keep me wanting to listen. I kept forgetting Sally was the dog at first each time she was mentioned. There was a nice connection between the characters, it’s a story about family, the health struggles they face, life after loss, connection and believing in what some may feel is the impossible.

Lovely story
A lovely story. The narrator took a decent amount of time to find her groove. I felt the first quarter was a bit flat, but it got much better.
Overall I would recommend the audio book!!

Captivating
Josephine Moon is one of my favourite authors, yet I resisted reading this until now, fearing it would be too sad and (pardon the pun) heartbreaking. How wrong I was! This tricky subject matter is handled with sensitivity and I was enthralled with the slightly psychic tone of the writing. Having the story voiced by both the recipient and the donor’s wife was enlightening and opened my eyes to the positive impact being an organ donor can have.

Too rambling and detailed
I found this book tedious, I was expecting it to move on into the story but it assumes we don’t understand the complexity of what life is like! I tried to persist with it but no thanks.

Like the story, struggling with voice of narrator
The voice of narrator, has gone croaky/husky part way in. It is making it really hard to enjoy the book.
