About this listen

The first rule of being a ghost whisperer: Don't tell anyone. Seriously. Don't.

Sure, it might sound harmless. A fun party trick, even. I assure you, it's not. How do I know? Well, let's just say that I've had a lot of experience with this sort of thing, and nine times out of 10, it turns into an all-consuming disaster.

Being plagued by needy ghosts 24-7 is one thing; being harassed by a horde of curious - or worse, grieving - flesh-and-blood people is an entirely different circus. I mean really, who wants to hold an impromptu seance in the middle of the cereal aisle? Not me, and the manager of the grocery store probably isn't too crazy about the idea, either.

So, that's it. If you're a ghost whisperer, just keep your mouth shut and act normal. Ghosts? What ghosts?

Now, if only I would start listening to my own advice....

Love it

After reading the Beechwood Manor magic mysteries series, it’s so nice to find these ‘side’ characters having their own series, I love the way they all link up to the same world!

Quirky and cute series.

Not something I would usually choose to read....... but the cover caught my eye. Will give a couple more books in the series a go.... You don't have to pay a lot of attention reading - excellent to have on in the background or as a 'sleep' book.

Assault Isn’t Romance!

This book starts with an act of assault that is immediately brushed off in a way that happens way too often in conservative women’s fiction. Here’s the scene: The main character is walking at night when a man twice her size tackles her to the ground. He then proceeds to tell her that it was her fault and to get over it … and the worst part is that she accepts that she clearly deserved to be tackled and starts getting gooey feelings … for a man who attacks women walking alone at night!

The fact that so many many women think that these blatant acts of violence then gaslighting (he calls her hysterical and blames her for his violence) are romantic is genuinely disturbing. Seriously, ladies, every generation that fails to deal with the issue of violence against women dooms their daughters to more violence. It needs to stop now!
