About this listen

Victor is the perfect killer. He has no past. He will stop at nothing. And he can find you anywhere. In sweltering Algiers, ultra-efficient hitman Victor executes a fellow assassin. But when the CIA comes calling, Victor must pose as his victim to identify the dead man's next mark--a mission that takes him across Europe to the bloody streets of Rome.

Working alongside a group of vicious mercenaries, Victor faces an impossible choice: to do what's right or to sacrifice the only thing he cares about: his life.

Full of white-hot tension and edge-of-the-seat action, The Game is the thrilling follow-up to The Hunter and The Enemy.

Great story and narration

A bit less actipn in this book as some of the other Victor books with more intrigue and layers to the story but well narrated (love the different voices Daniel Philpot assigns each character). A story that I listened to every chance I got and thoroughly enjoyed.

Good story especially if you have read the earlier two. Really enjoyed this and the other Tom Wood books.

Best of the series so far

A nice little plot twist made this one a fun read. This series seems to be maturing as it goes on. Well performed by the narrator as well

Riveting to the end

Both the author and narrator keep the story alive. Suspense and surprise to the end! Hope there is more of this character

3rd in the series and Wood delivers again

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Most definitely. However, I would recommended reading (listening to) the early books first. While it isn't essential, knowing the back story will certainly add to the enjoyment.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's never practical for me to find 10 hours plus to listen in one sitting but the story line certainly encouraged me to keep going back to the book whenever possible

Fantastic book

As usual, Tom Wood has written an action packed story full of suspense, intelligence and interesting characters. Narration by Daniel Philpott is perfectly done, paced well and clear. I will continue to recommend this series and am very excited for the next book.

nonstop fun

Just a pleasure - action, humour and some great twists. There are no dull spots - I kept trying to anticipate the ending but wasn't even close and the climax is a doozy
