About this listen
Bob Howard is an IT specialist and field agent for the Laundry, the branch of Her Majesty's secret service that deals with occult threats. Overworked and underpaid, Bob is used to his two jobs overflowing from a strict nine to five, and since his wife, Mo, has a very similar job description, he understands that work will sometimes follow her home, too. But when 'work' involves zombie assassins and minions of a mad god's cult, he realises things are spinning out of control.
When a top-secret dossier goes missing and his boss, Angleton, is implicated, Bob must contend with suspiciously helpful Russian intelligence operatives and an unscrupulous apocalyptic cult before confronting the decades-old secret that lies at the heart of the Laundry: what is so important about the missing Fuller Memorandum? And why are all the people who know dying?

Another fun esoteric spy adventure.
Robert Howard is the occult programmer we need to save us from yet another lovecraft doomsday cult. Enjoyable listen.

Great instalment.
I have really enjoyed this series. it is witty, dry and sarcastic. I like how the BS of beaurocracy in government agencies is portrayed.

this book gave the story a kick in the arse
although iris was predicable, this book has made me more interested in the series. it's like the first two were warmups and this one was where everything came together much the same as the Dresden files, which this book cheekily references in the beginning. well done

Captivating, intelligent and funny
I really enjoy The Laundry Files series, highly recommend if you action/adventure mysteries, tech, sci-fi, fantasy, and comedy. The whole series is clever in it's concepts and presentation while simultaneously simple, witty and very funny at times.
