About this listen
Captain Jack Aubrey, RN, arrives in the Dutch East Indies to find himself appointed to the command of the fastest and best-armed frigate in the Navy. He and his friend Stephen Maturin take passage for England in a despatch vessel. But the War of 1812 breaks out while they are en route. Bloody actions precipitate them both into new and unexpected scenes where Stephen's past activities as a secret agent return on him with a vengeance.

More of the same, but grand
Although there is a similarity in the Master and Commander books I still find each one interesting and satisfying.

terrific
story line as good as all previous, and as a sailor it really comes alive for me. the narration is truly excellent, lifting the prose into a vivid play.

A superb story, compellingly told
I read this story many years ago as part of the series but had not recalled its power nor the pleasing style. it's much more than a way point in the story. it's a masterpiece in its own right.

A first class story
Fantastic narration of an excellent book. I love the way Jerome does all the different voices.

Boring narrator
I expected more from this book after watching Master, and,Commander. The narrator was boring, and, annoying. It could not hold my interest. It was very disappointing, and,in my opinion not worth the money.
