Editorial reviews

Whimsical music sets the mood for "The Fiery Dragon" from E. Nesbit's The Book of Dragons. A princess with a heart of gold spots a dragon from her high tower and works to protect the townspeople from its fiery wrath. Nesbit published dozes of books for children around the turn of the 20th century. Emma Gregory's performance of this one is melodic. Her almost-whispered voice is light and airy. She employs a warm tone. Meanwhile, the relaxed pacing appeals to young ears, as do Gregory's fun voices for the colorful cast of characters. Overall, "The Fiery Dragon" proves a sweet, female-driven tale for children.
