Publisher's Summary
Disillusioned businessman, John Lawrence Locke, finds himself summoned as a hero to another world, filled with monsters and magic! With his body reverted to the age of 15, the 33-year-old's mind is filled with the possibility of battles and adventures, like the ones in his favorite video games.
Unfortunately for him, life isn't always so convenient. Betrayed by the very people who summoned him, he's condemned as the False Hero and forced to flee for his life. Alone in an unfamiliar world and hunted by all of humanity, he takes on the alias of Lutz and uses his gaming knowledge to quickly adapt to the world's strangely game-like mechanics.

This is what I love from a good book!
Being an audio book, this story is reaching an end much too quickly. I am a big fan of action and game-like skills/leveling, and this book is now one of my favs.
With a strong sense of character in each of the, uh, characters, I can feel the deep relationships that are formed between the them and I love the intense feelings I get from listening to the main’s experiences. Well written with multiple perspectives often included, I know this is a series I’m going to keep listening to.
Side note, I also love the voice of Mason. The multiple voices he uses are really good! It can be hard to tell when characters are thinking or speaking, but I love the way he gives feeling to the words like you’re watching an anime or TV series. I seriously can’t get enough!! (I’ve finished 2/3 in 2 days)
I’d say this is similar to ARIFURETA and Shield Hero.

A very interesting story
I really enjoyed these first three books and can’t wait to read more of this epic story.
I am not sure why there is some complaint about the narrator. At first I might have giggled but eventually I found I liked the voice. He reminded me of a stereotypical D&D GM. It was very catchy :)

Alright story. Terrible narration
Sounds like a teenager doing his best to be as dramatic as possible. Emphasises random words with extra force. example "LEIAS! healing magic washed over me"
Does not get better the longer you listen to it.

An annoying lisp
This was a great story I have read previously, unfortunately the performers lisp does distract from the story. After the first hour you get used to it but it would have been better without it.
