Interesting references to nursing in Scutari
I enjoyed reading this novel. I found the story of Hester and nursing in Scutari most interesting. The murder mystery kept me intrigued to the very end.

Intruding Monk and Hester
A wonderful story promising a series full of detection and drama. Set in Victorian England, depicting all aspects of society.

My first Inspector Monk
Loved the mystery and the historical story of Crimean War. Did find some of the story surrounding descriptions sometimes a bit longer than the story needed

Disappointed
I love Davina Porter as a narrator she always handles the characters well. Story was tedious and for me, a bit boring
