Publisher's Summary

A mother’s greatest wish—or darkest nightmare—comes true in this chilling classic audiobook thriller from the Master of Suspense, Dean Koontz.

“Koontz puts his readers through the emotional wringer.”–The Associated Press

In the year since her son Danny’s tragic death, Tina Evans has suffered incredible heartache. But now, with her Vegas show about to premiere, Tina might be ready to put her grief behind her and start over.

Until a shocking message appears on the chalkboard in Danny's room: NOT DEAD. Those two words send her on a terrifying journey from the bright lights of Las Vegas to the cold shadows of the High Sierras, where she uncovers a terrible secret.

No relevance to Corona virus at all...

Not that I believed the hype but it reminded me that I love Dean Koontz and haven't read this one.
The narrator spoiled the story for me, I believe it could have been quite good but the intonations of this narrator are
not suitable for this kind of book. She should be reading children's stories instead.....

Dean Koontz

I am total enthralled with all of Dean Koontz books. His stories are different to all other authors and has something in them for everyone. They keep you on the edge of your seat and make you love his characters. I can’t get enough of them.

Not my favourite but good

Not a bad little book. The final chapters somehow allowed me to drift of mentally so has to re-listen. The characters didn’t hold me. I just wasn’t feeling Tina. The development of her relationship with Elliot was a non event. I almost missed it. I just didn’t love it .

it was a really good book. the story line was awesome, but the ending was really disappointing. all the hype, the suspense and excitement and then a flop ending. 6/10

ugh!

Terrible. Couldn't even listen to it as background noise. Why did the story need to have a romantic sub-plot? Narration cringe-worthy

This book has nothing to do with Covid19!!!!

I've been told that this book had predicted the Covid19 outbreak, so I wanted to see it myself. Through the story, I was wondering how it's going to be connected to the coronavirus outbreak in the world, as the whole story has no scientific basis, at least to me. I kept reading until at the end suddenly the Wuhan name appeared, but obviously, it has no smart connection with Covid. Believe it or not, the story is not outstanding at all, so simple. The author could have named any other biological research lab around the world.
