About this listen
An intensely dark, gripping thriller from the bestselling author of My Little Brother
Sometimes your past just won't let go...
As a heatwave grips the country, DS Jenna Morgan is called to a domestic incident at the home of a young family in Ironbridge.
Pregnant Imelda Cheetham-Epstein has been found unconscious by her husband, Zak, with serious head injuries.
When Jenna arrives on the scene, she discovers something even more disturbing – the couple's eleven-month-old son, Joshua, is missing and the race against time begins to find him.
Is this an accident or something more sinister?
Are the two incidents linked?
Or has something in the Cheetham-Epsteins' past caught up with them?
The fourth thrilling instalment in the DS Jenna Morgan series, perfect for fans of Cara Hunter.

Please keep writing
This book series is very cool. Each book instalment covers a very intriguing crime. They’re just different, on a good way. I do hope Jenna becomes a bit more fleshed out in the future, as she’s a bit one dimensional…. She’s got to have a standout feature if she will attract all those studs! Looking forward to hopefully next one.

Surprising
A.H
With this Book, D.Saxon gave me a ‘read’ to which the ending took me by surprise.
I challenge any Mum, not to get a tear in her eye.
The suspense was slow into growing into a decent and thrilling ending, for me.
Thank you !

The storyline was good kept me guessing and it was narrated well. Only one suggestion find another word for dehydration!!! Used so many times it got irritating.

Too predictable
The story drags at times, too many moments of frustration in the plot. Setting up the lead as smart and strong but she misses to many obvious clues. Predictable.

Was this written by AI?
Honestly sounds like something spit out of Chat GPT. Profoundly bland writing, bland performance, and I’m no detective but I feel like this crime could’ve been solved pretty quickly by anyone with half a brain (despite the case being continually referred to as ‘complex’ by every halfwit in the story). It’s the first audiobook I’ve really hated. Not even worth the meagre $4.99 I paid.
