The reality of the formation of Israel.
It shows the slaughter and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the formation and maintenance of the state of Israel. Quite different to the story we are fed in the western world.

Every sentence speaks another tragedy
There are not words to distil the horrors that have been inflicted upon the Palestinian people. Ilan Pappe describes in detail the early results of the world's failure to prevent genocide.

Essential reading
Pappe guides the readers through events that led up to the Nakba in in 1948, and continues through to modern times. Of particular note, Pappe regularly quotes pertinent government documents to support his research. Almost two decades have passed since publication of this book but it remains heartbreakingly relevant.

The truth hurts here
An understanding of the Palestinians systematic ethic cleansing by the Zionist Israelis, factual and real, the world have failed the Palestinians so far, let’s change that by awareness, peace and correction of past wrongs.

An eye opener
This book takes the reader back in time to the origins of the establishment of Israel. It dismantles the Zionist propaganda about this era and documents the zionist 's efforts to eradicate the Palestinians and their rooted culture from the land.
The means described by this book and used in this era to ethnically cleanse the peaceful unarmed Palestinian population is abhorrent and staggering. The efforts to hide it is nothing less than disgusting.

Compelling use of archival material to reshape the national myth.
Written in 2006 and released in this format in 2017, this remains very pertinent to any examination of the situation of Israel.

Essential reading
This is a great first book to read to gain an understanding of the brutal colonial regime of Israel. It shows, with great detail and evidence, how Israel is a stated formed through the historical and ongoing ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.
