ignore the other reviews. This is a modern classic
I suggest reading some bona fide reviewers. The book is hard-going with brutal material. And it is beautifully written and moving.

I underestimated how far this book would push me.
For the genre you have to give it a 5. You might not like it but it does deserve the respect.

The end of Alice couldn't end quickly enough.
The narration was spot on to portray the perverted vileness of the main character/story teller.
A book written more to shock and dusgust the reader than to evoke any kind of awareness I believe.
Curiosity made me take on this book, some curiosities are best left alone.

Designed for shock
very convoluted. unnecessarily convoluted. it's an uncomfortable read and definately twisted. but spent so much time on such an unrelated sub plot to the main story for added sexual drama and perversion. it's very dark and unique. it's upsetting to think how real it could be. all the trigger warnings for sure. definately not for the faint of heart. Narrator was excellent. and I'm sure after recording this he had a very long shower.
