About this listen

Jolie Louis is a smart girl. She knows that her best friend, Sage Poirier, is a bad idea. He's a walking, talking cliché. The Adonis quarterback with the bulging biceps and harem of fangirls trailing behind him on campus like a stench you can't get rid of. Sadly, that's also the reason she can't stay away from him. Well, that and the fact that they're roommates.

Jolie is already straddling the line between friendship and more when Sage comes to her with an offer she cannot refuse: Be his fake girlfriend and live for free for the rest of the semester. She tells herself that she can handle it. He's just the boy she saved 10 years ago, right? Wrong. So very wrong. He is a man now, and she is his captive, heart, body, and soul....

Cute....till the epilogue

cute story of friends falling deeply in love, but the additional epilogue just wrecks it all with her insane assumption and his aggressive reaction. Felt like completely different characters. Drama literally for the sake of drama, wrecked it.

short and sweet

Short and sweet. Just because its only a few hours read doesn't mean it doesn't have loads of feel. Good feels light and easy. A great little interlude, which I did enjoy. Narrators: my first listen from Tessa Ellory and it won't be my last - she was really good. Joe Arden its a given , I love him, ever since I discovered his narration reading Exodus!!! his a favourite- can't go wrong.

Friends to lovers romance

The End Zone by L.J. Shen is a dual POV story (audiobook told from dual narrators) following Jolie and Sage.
This story follows so many tropes with best friends to lovers and sports romance as the main ones. But that’s not all, add in roommates and fake dating which makes this a great novella.
The story is great, but Sage’s cockiness is something I struggled with in this story, as it seemed a bit OTT at times.

Nice quick story

I find these short stories hard to connect with the characters, but after listening to the epilogues I was invested. I really enjoyed the epilogues!!!
