About this listen

The Enchanted is a story that takes place in a neo-Victorian “steampunk” era, where the occult still holds a firm place in the search for scientific discovery. It’s a story about desire at its deepest and most desperate depths.

Isaac is an isolated man from a long line of witches and lives in an old mansion overlooking a small town. When the home is believed to be abandoned and set to auction, Isaac surfaces as a newcomer among the upper class long enough to secure his home but also meets a girl of unparalleled beauty, Isabella Jane.

Isaac becomes infatuated with Isabella and attempts to steal her from her lifelong love, Claus Stern. As mysterious events among the society's upper class continue, the town calls upon a witch hunter, Gunter Kraut, to relieve their suspicion of witchcraft. Isaac must avoid Gunter and Claus while he pursues Isabella. He utilizes all of the skills at his disposal, including witchcraft, but he cannot predict or control the outcome of his decisions.
