Publisher's Summary

Tad overcame the overwhelming power of Oblivion, saving both his brother and his mentor, but the world has never been in worse shape.

With the sky still smothered, the Defector's plots advance ever closer to their fruition. The warlord class trial looms ahead of our hero. Will he be the match to the severity of what is to come, or will it break him entirely?

dropping this series

I did enjoy the first few books because they were more ground in reality but this series has lost all substance. Everything is too abstract and nothing really make any sense. the author made a huge mistake of letting the power scale way too high. creators are literal gods which is dumb, and the author throws around the term infinite power too much it makes it become meaningless. I couldn't finish this book which is super rare for me this far into a series. tip for author for any new series: think through your world building more and make sure your work make some sense with more established rules because there are none in this it's just all over the place and there's no way this universes could fiction on any level.
