About this listen
Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!
In The Dragon Reborn, the third novel in Robert Jordan’s number one New York Times best-selling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor undertakes a journey to prove himself worthy of being the Champion of Light.
Winter has stopped the war - almost - yet men are dying, calling out for the Dragon. But where is he?
Rand al’Thor has been proclaimed the Dragon Reborn. Traveling to the great fortress known as the Stone of Tear, he plans to find the sword Callandor, which can only be wielded by the Champion of Light, and discover if he truly is destined to battle The Dark One. Following Rand, Moiraine and their friends battle Darkhounds on the hunt, hoping they reach the Heart of the Stone in time for the next great test awaiting the Dragon Reborn.
Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant number one New York Times best sellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Old school fantasy
I'm rereading this series that I first read in my early 20s. 30 years on the books are a little tired but still good fun. Theyre very obviously written by an old white man - definitely a 50s view of social morès.
women are often portrayed as devious while men are sort of bumbling but well meaning - or strong and silent.
In terms of story and momentum though, its still a good read and I will be continuing with the series.
The male narrator is annoying to start with but after a while you dont notice his idiosyncratic delivery so much

Great story - 👏
I loved it and was a little disappointed that Morraine (Rosamund Pike) was not narrating as she did the first two books. having said that, I could still hear her even though narrated by others.
I also prefer Rosamond's pronunciation of Loial (Loy- aahl) much better than "Loyal"

Timeless classic instalment.
Hard to backup TGH, but it's one of the more solid books in the greatest series and story of all time. Pity the Amazon show sucks.

Amazing performance
My first audiobook in a long time. Previously I read the last two Wheel of Time books as ebooks but this is my new favourite way to finish off the series. The performances are very impressive and immerse you into the world Robert Jordan has constructed

Robert Daddy Jordan has once again got me up from dawn till dusk to dawn yet again with a truly riveting style of storytelling that has me begging in the corner of the kitchen for more. his sweet sweet wordsmithing had me panting hard as a cascade of emotion swept me to his dungeon where i was unable to escape the ectasy of his book. cant wait for book 4 its on the vibe. 12/10

This was a slow one..
Out of the three in the series this was the hardest one to get in to. There was a lot of building until the final two hours really. But this does continue the series and it is a worthwhile listen for anyone that has enjoyed the series so far.
