About this listen
‘Deadly conspiracies, bone-crunching action and a tormented hero with a heart . . . packs a real punch’ Andy McDermott
When ex-SAS operative Ben Hope decided to give up rescuing kidnap victims in favour of the Theology studies he abandoned years before, he should have known that fate would decide differently.
Searching for missing biblical archaeologist Zoë Bradbury, Ben finds himself embroiled in his riskiest mission yet. What is the ancient secret that Zoë uncovered? And just who is willing to do anything to protect it?
The investigation leads Ben from Greece to the American Deep South and the holy city of Jerusalem, and he soon discovers that it's not just his and Zoë's lives on the line, but those of millions, threatened by a fundamentalist plot to gain ultimate power. The stakes are terrifyingly high as Ben races to prevent a disaster that could kick-start apocalyptic events as foretold by the Book of Revelation…
The Ben Hope series is a must-read for fans of Dan Brown, Lee Child and Mark Dawson. Join the millions of readers who get breathless with anticipation when the countdown to a new Ben Hope thriller begins…
Whilst the Ben Hope thrillers can be read in any order, this is the third book in the series.

Hard to find something that is original within this genre, but this one is great. Awesome listen and narration was right on point.

So entertaining
I love this series. I feel for Ben Hope as he tries his hardest to find a normal life. I love the twists and turns and intrigue. Scott does a fabulous job pulling the reader in and you feel like you are right alongside Ben

Very scary
This was a difficult story to work through, quite brutal, which is what I have come to expect of the ordeals Ben Hope puts himself through but also wondered why the reader was allowed to foresee the doom-laden issues that the characters did not... Ben Hope is usually right up there on a knife's edge, anticipating the challenges, but this one showed him more fallible than usual. A preview of the following volume is included at the end and I intended to go directly to the next story, however I could not find it anywhere in the search options available and eventually had to skip to volume 5, which is disappointing as I prefer to read them in chronological order, for the background continuity. I have had to pause listening to volume 5 as I needed to read something more lighthearted to balance things out. Maybe volume 4 will materialise while I put 5 on hold.....??
