About this listen
Rules are all that keep us alive in my haven. I broke the most important one.
Ever since the great divide, when supernaturals emerged to take back the world, wolf shifters like me have lived in sheltered havens.
The celestials, winged gods who inhabit the sky realms above us, protect us as long as we follow the rules and kill us if we don’t.
So when I refuse to accept my place as an omega and the pack’s toy, they send an archangel to kill me. From the instant I see Samael, something burns between us. He’s as powerful as I am powerless, with authority no one can gainsay.
And he decides he’d rather take me than kill me.
Between his black wings that signal horrific amounts of mortal sin and his dark love of violence, I’m not sure being with him counts as being rescued.
Until I see the things he’s willing to do with his swords in order to protect me.
He insists he has ulterior motives and is only waiting for a mysterious favor, but Sam is far more than he appears on his beautiful surface.
And as we get closer on our dangerous journey, the heat between us grows hotter than hellfire. We both have hidden secrets, and they’re being pulled to the surface with every touch.
I might just be the subject of an ancient prophecy, destined to bring the world to balance. That is, if the ruthless gods trying to kill me don’t catch up first.
The Demon’s Pet is an epic fantasy romance with steam. Fans of fantasy romance will love the strong heroine, darkly sexy antihero, scorching love scenes, thrilling action, and elaborate, unique world-building that grabs hold of the listener and never lets go, with no cliff-hanger!

awesome and totally worth listening too. fantastic
The story is about someone being made to believe something as true, basically from heaven. About beings who all different in gifts but the same in heart.

Get it!
I loved it! It was honestly really hard to get into it at the start, but once I persisted it was worth it.

Easy to read enemies to almost lovers
I have really enjoyed this story and found myself captivated from the start. The ending got a little slow which was a bit disappointing after a strong start. Picked up again right at the end!

Amazing!!
This was a great audiobook. I haven't read any books by Domino Savage yet and was pleasantly surprised with just how good it was. It has the perfect mix of romance and storyline. Like, a surprising amount of content was actually covered in this book. And can I just say. That romance! Gosh, it somehow contains a ridiculously possessive alpha male, while also adding comedic relief to it, and steamy scenes that will definitely not have you laughing *wink wink*. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has read the blurb and thinks they might like it. I hope you find you love it just as much as I do. Enjoy!

two hours in and she's still just whinging
other reviews say they found it hard to get into but enjoyed it in the end so I'm really trying to give it a chance. But I don't think I. going to last. Yes her life sucks but instead of using what she says is a clever mind she just complains and makes senseless rebellion instead of doing something smart and making plans. Sounds like this character trait is gonna continue for another few hours and I think this will be a did not finish. narrator was fine.

The first half sucks tbh
3 stars (which still feels a little generous for beginning)
Take a shot every time she clenches her fists- jk you’ll get alcohol poisoning
I admit about 50% through this book I already had drafted a scathing review because the female lead was driving me insane and I literally wanted to shake her, I was physically shaking my head at her and had to remind myself often that she had trauma and a bunch of reasons for her to be .. RIDICULOUS. But by 60 or so percent she got less infuriating but you know, she had to go through something bad that three people warned her about and that totally could have been avoided but she was being kinda petulant and naive but, whatever -some of us need to learn our lessons the hard way
I liked our male lead, he reminded me of a couple anime characters tbh. I didn’t like how he did the whole pushing her away, hot and cold thing though because well, I do not like when my book men remind me of real life men lol
The spicy scenes were pretty good for a new adult novel and I really liked the side characters and queer representation.
Some of the conversations, again in the first part were a bit clunky and didn’t have natural flow.
If I hadn’t spent an audible credit on this I probably would have given up but I did like it in the last half i guess.
