Publisher's Summary

In the present, an old fisherman is found dead by the shoreline and a stranger with a mission moves into a shabby Kinloch flat.

Meanwhile, D.C.I. Jim Daley is trying to help Brian Scott stay sober, and the good people of Kinloch are still mourning the death of one of their own.

As past and present collide, Daley finds himself face to face with old friends and foes. Memories can only last as long as those who keep them, and ghosts will not be silenced.

Good story and great performance

A good listen. reader is excellent. Stories now overplay Brian's confusion around sayings and big words a bit.

Another brilliantly written book from Denzyl

Why oh why is it finished already.
I simply couldn’t stop listening.
Incredible story and wonderful to be back in Kinloch with all the amazing characters. Really kept me guessing this one. I won’t give anything away but will say it’s an absolute “must” read. Fabulous narration, as always, by David Monteith

Dentil Meyrick and David Monteith

What a sublime combination. Dentil Meyrick and David Monteith. Every story is brilliant. Every balance of humour and teeth gritting suspense is perfect. Every narrated version so incredible. Every book is so gripping from start to finish. The only thing that disappoints is finding that there isn’t another one to listen to yet. Good god Denzil. Stop relaxing and get the next book out.

Always a treat

What’s not to love about this series? Murder, some mayhem, a fabulous setting and characters you wish you could share a bevy with at the pub! Thoroughly enjoyed this story and the skill of the author in bringing together many previous threads. Can’t wait to hear the next one come to life through the expert narration .
