About this listen
From the number one Sunday Times best-selling author.
Philip Noble is an eleven-year-old in crisis. His pub landlord father has died in a road accident, and his mother is succumbing to the greasy charms of her dead husband's brother, Uncle Alan. The remaining certainties of Philip's life crumble away when his father's ghost appears in the pub and declares Uncle Alan murdered him.
Arming himself with weapons from the school chemistry cupboard, Philip vows to carry out the ghost's relentless demands for revenge. But can the words of a ghost be trusted any more than the lies of the living?

Meandering
I love Matt Haig's book but not a fan of this one. It never hooked me in so I seemed to listen to it for ages and each time just seemed a ramble. It was probably more a teen fiction than an adult read. The narrator put a heap of energy into it with all the different voices.

Too weird for me
I didn’t get it. The story was just weird and didn’t really go anywhere or come to any real conclusion.

Wow!!
This book just blew me away. The story was amazing! The descriptive writing was awesome! This was my 4th Matt Haig book and I have loved them all but this would be my favourite if I had to choose. Mark Meadows brought it to life with his narration. I could go on and on but I don’t want to spoil it for you. Give it a listen, you definitely won’t regret it.
