Publisher's Summary
She was my first love.
She was my first hate.
The very sun in my world tried to burn me alive with her lies and cruelty.
Until I dimmed her light for good....
Or so I thought.
Now she’s back.
Cracked. Broken. Lost.
And for the first time in a long time, I feel free.
Free from our past. Free from my present that suffocates me. Free to destroy her future.
Her misery is my music.
Thrilling. Invigorating. Intoxicating.
For so long, all I’ve done is hate her.
So why do I love her?

Good story - male voice disappoints
The story is well written and explores contemporary themes about meeting people online and the way our digital actions have real life repercussions. If you’re after a whole lot of steamy sex, maybe leave this one. The sex scenes didn’t do it for me.
Noah Michael Levine has a sexy voice but it sounds way too old for the 19 year old character he’s reading and that is distracting at times.

The Day She Cried
I don't know what it was with this book, whether the cover or the blurb but I had it on my shelves for the longest time. I would look at and put it back down but this time I thought ok lets do this and wow am I glad I did. The story was not at all what I imagined going into the book but everything you want in a book by the end. Its a great story and 100% worth the read.

Addictive!!
An incredibly raw and gripping tale which had me addicted right from the prologue! The subject matter was tackled so well and my heart sobbed for what Raven, Rome and Courtney all experienced at the hands of bullies but at varying degrees. I loved Rome, he was equal parts scary and swoony!!!
Loved Erin Mallon - she does broken heroines so perfectly! Noah Michael Levine was ok but sounded too old to be Rome.

This is K Websters best work to date!
MY THOUGHTS:
This is a hate to love story about accountability, healing and forgiveness. Learning to love again after loss.
This story was unlike anything I have ever read before, original and unbelievably fitting to today’s society issues. We get a front row seat into the tragic and heart-breaking reality of the effects of bullying and suicide.
Growth and development in the characters is intense and confronting, it makes you reflect on how you treat people. This book had a strong impact on me as a reader, showing the ugliness of people’s words and the effect they have on us. It only takes one loose thread to weaken the string making it fragile and easy to break.
The last chapter was difficult to read it literally gave me chills, goose bumps covered my skin and I felt heaviness in my chest for all the lost souls who thought they had no other option but to take their own lives. The words, the descriptions, the emotions, it was all so confronting and yet so powerful that I lost my breath for a moment.
The underlying message is in this story is loud and clear. Make yourself aware that bullying is a real living and breathing dangerous part of our lives, educate yourself to help prevent it, teach your loved ones to use their voice and be true to themselves and not follow in the path of others and most importantly be kind to others.
This is K. Webster’s best work to date and a must read!

DO I RECOMMEND
Absolutely, it’s raw, real, emotional and heart breaking but so relevant and in true K Webster style is so well executed I was captivated from the start to the end and touched by her underlying message.

Narrated by: Erin Mallon, Noah Michael Levine
Length: 6 hrs and 35 mins
Erin Mallon’s narration was the perfect match for her character, young, expressive and full of raw emotion. She is brilliant!
Noah didn’t work for me. There was nothing wrong with his narration. it just wasn’t a good fit for me, his voice was to mature sounding for Rome’s young character.
