Publisher's Summary
As a young boy, Gabriel Martinez had his family - his entire life - ripped away from him. Revenge and indignation became his means of survival. Several years later, a series of events leads him to his new family, the Kings of Retribution MC, where he meets Alba Jameson.
Heartbreak being the final push, Alba chooses the life her sister worked so hard to give her by going off to college. While trying to bury her feelings for Gabriel, she finds herself faced with the unexpected. Finding strength and courage, she starts to pave her own path in life, until a faceless threat sends her home.

another suprise
when I started listening to this, I thought the trope was going to be just a good MC story, but I'm not used to sandy and crystal, and boy, did I get a heartstopper. I not only did I get one angsty piece of drama, but 2.
The way the book was put together with alternating h and H chapters kept me listening with suspense.
I found it hard to like the H at first. He seemed to be all brawn and anger. chapter 17 turned my mind. However, i really liked the h. She was level-headed, and in my mind, an old soul. although I did find her to be a bit stupid in a few of her decisions, actions, and thinking. that got me a bit frustrated, and I had to bide my time.
I did guess the bad guy, but I settled in to let it unfold.
then, at the end, for me, the h's state and what took place didn't quite gel. so as much it was huge drama and worry it kinda felt a bit over the top.
but all in all, it was an awesome plotline.
Sean Crisden did a brilliant job with the accent, and I really enjoyed how it gave the H depth and life, almost giving merit to his rage.
I'm looking forward to more great stories.

Oh Gabrielle
I cannot be the only woman to want a Gabrielle of my own. The female character seemed a bit meh but it worked. It’s a good
Listen. Highly predicable but entertaining nonetheless. Narration was excellent
