About this listen
Faeries. Knights. Princes. True love. Think you know how the story goes? Think again... From the New York Times bestselling author of The Spiderwick Chronicles comes a dark, dangerous and utterly beautiful faerie tale, guaranteed to steal your heart.
Hazel lives with her brother, Ben, in the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae exist side by side. The faeries' seemingly harmless magic attracts tourists, but Hazel knows how dangerous they can be, and she knows how to stop them. Or she did, once.
In the forest of Fairfold, lies a glass casket. Inside the casket lies a sleeping faerie prince that none can rouse. He's the most fascinating thing Hazel and Ben have ever seen and they dream of waking him.
But what happens when dreams come true? In the darkest part of the forest, you must be careful what you wish for...

Great story and the narrator did a great job!
If you like Fae stories then you will like this one. It had some good twists and I couldn't tell quite how it was going to end.
I kind of want a second book, but it's not necessarily needed.

Love Holly Black!
This was really good. Slightly different to her other series about the faeries but still amazing and Lauren Fortgang does an amazing job of narrating and bringing this story to life.

Charming and Addictive
Holly Black always manages to craft enchanting yet authentic modern day fairytales and this book is not exception. Each character is fleshed out so well with ease and familiarity. The Fae are represented as their best selves both beautiful and horrific.

Another part of the story
Fantastic!! I really loved this story and how it adds depth to the folk of the air books. you could read it as a standalone or a part of the wider holly black books.
