About this listen
Abby has been through hell and has survived one of the most brutal childhoods imaginable. To the outside world, she is just a loner with an attitude. When her grandmother dies in a tragic explosion, Abby is left with questions - and nothing else. Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, she meets Jake, a tattooed, blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own. Two broken souls that can't be healed. They can't be saved. Abby and Jake have to decide if they can accept the darkness not only within one another but within themselves. If they can accept each other for who they really are, they might be able to learn that love isn't always found in the light.

Absolutely recommend 👌🏼
First book I've read by this author but certainly not the last!
Real and gritty so if you have a taste for that you'll enjoy this one.
Good narration, though would have been nice to have more from Jake.
Great characters all round.
Worth the time for sure.

Devastatingly sad
I had no idea what to expect with this book and yep, it kept hitting me in the heart 💔. Absolutely devastatingly shocking and addictive. I was so invested in Abbey and Jake’s story, I had to finish it ASAP!

A lovely story that lives up to its name.
T.M. Frazier is an amazing author that delivers the right amount of cruelty amongst love & laughter. This story is yet another example of her talent. The only negatives I have with this audio book is the performance which is unusual as both Lucy & Christian are great narrators. I found Lucy to be monotone & robotic throughout which was a real drag to listen to & Christian just didn’t quite capture the character of Jake as depicted in previous novels. I understand this was meant to be a younger version of Jake but he could’ve provided more depth in this narration.

Heartbreaking but beautiful ❤️🩹
This is a beautiful story about two broken souls that find each other and help heal one and other.
**spoil sports and T warning**
He who had an unfortunate family accident, caused a rip between him and his dad causing him to leave and only to return for the sake of saving his mother’s house.
Her story more heartbreaking than his, she was left to fend for herself since she was little. Abused and broken down to a shell until she meets him and starts to open up to the thought of loving someone since her nan passed. What happens when he leaves her to go to work is truly heartbreaking as she is assaulted yet again only this time she finds out that she is pregnant.
I don’t understand why it jumped 4 years which to me is just ridiculous but it is what it is. The ending was not exactly what I had expected but it good none the less. I loved listening to his side but again was disappointed that it was only at the end??
Christian Fox voice was 🥵 and that made me 1000x more disappointed that his point of view wasn’t a part of the main story….

Dark!!
Eeeepp!! This was intense, raw and gritty! The road for Abby and Jake was not an easy one but all the tears and pain was worth their HEA! I can never get enough of TM Frazier’s writing - her stories are highly addictive and had me riveted from start to finish!
If you are hoping to hear a lot of Christian Fox though, you will be disappointed. He only narrated two chapters.
