About this listen

Devil-may-care rogue Lord Darius Alexander can't resist a wager. When a game of cards is suggested at the remote inn where he's stopped for the night, he antes up his family's savings. He never expects to lose his fortune to the irritatingly confident, uncommonly beautiful hoyden daring to play with the men. Nor does he expect to lose his heart.

Caitlin Hart is known for her good sense. When a ridiculous reprobate tosses his savings onto the gaming table, she doesn't hesitate to divest him of it. But Lord Dare won't accept defeat like a gentleman. He suggests a compromise, and before long the handsome scoundrel is working back his losses on her small farm. But her neatly plowed fields might be too close for her heart's content, for soon she finds herself wondering if she can dare him to stay forever when the last of his coin is tucked safely into his pocket.

Another Amazing book by Emma

Would you consider the audio edition of The Danger in Daring a Lady to be better than the print version?

I don’t know if I would consider the audio book "better" than the print version but I loved listen to the story, after a few minutes I didn’t even notice that I was listen to a story and not reading it. I love hearing all the characters portrayed in different voices.

What did you like best about this story?

The development of the character Dare. I did not like him in previous novels and I have to say it took me a very long time to full in love with him in this novel but when I did I fell hard. He really was a character I didn’t like at the start I even had to walk away from the story for a few days as I couldn’t stand him but I am glad I went back, by the end he would be up there as one of favourite in the series.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The scene I like best has to be where Roman finds Dare. This is where I find Dare finally becoming a man his character starts to develop from someone who had to be looked out for to some who can stand on his own two feet.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Without giving away the ending, I do like how everything was settled, No fairy wand but a true ending.

Any additional comments?

This is a great novel but do read the other books in the series first as you can see how all the characters develop and interlink together. I enjoyed Marian Hussey narration she drew me the story and made me believe in the characters.
