About this listen
The gripping thriller from the Top Ten Sunday Times bestselling author, shortlisted for the Irish Crime Book Awards
Rumours…
Everyone’s heard the rumours about elite gentlemen’s clubs, where the champagne flows freely, the parties are outrageous…and what goes on behind closed doors is darker than you could possibly imagine.
Scandals…
Paige Hargreaves was a young journalist working on a story about a club for the most privileged men in London. She was on the brink of exposing a shocking scandal. Then she disappeared.
Secrets…
DS Maeve Kerrigan must immerse herself in the club’s world of wealth, luxury and ruthless behaviour to find out what happened. But Maeve is keeping secrets of her own. Will she uncover the truth? Or will time run out for Maeve first?

Good but not one of her best
I love this series of books and always look forward to reading the next one. This last one however, was confusing at times with the back and forth of timelines. Each time the story headed into the past, it took me a while to establish the reasoning behind it. All in all though, Jane Casey has written another good book and I look forward to reading the continuing saga of Maeve and Derwent.

Superb
I have now listened to all of Jane Casey’s Maeve Kerrigan & Josh Derwent books and they feel like old friends.
Wonderfully written, brilliant storyline’s and Caroline Lennon was perfect as the Narrator.
They have all been brilliant and this one in particular really roped me in.
The relationship between the two main characters is hilarious at times and I have laughed quite a bit.
As this is the final was thus far, I am asking myself what on Earth I will do now? I miss them already.
Thank you Jane, for the endless hours of entertainment I have had, and please write another one.

Another great addition to the series
I was unsure of of the way the start of the novel flipped backward and forwards however it all made sense in the end.
I really enjoy the relationship of Maeve and Josh have and the banter between them. The pages come alive went they are working a murder case together or supporting each other in their separate personal lives
The narrator was great too.
Looking forward to the next novel in the series.
