Beaton reads Brookmyre brilliantly
A compelling listen, brilliantly read. Fantastic Brookmyre storytelling with twists and turns. A few were predictable but only because I am familiar with his work, but I certainly didn't see the final reveal coming.

Slow beginning but definitely worth committing to
I loved the well researched film-special effects research and interplay between the protagonist and sidekick. Terrific generational perspective with a well considered plot and sparky dialogue. Narration was brilliant! Looking to find another by this author.

Can't wait for the film!
i'm a big fan of Brookmyre's female characters (in fact i initially assumed he must be a woman to write them so well).
The story of Millie Spark is a new departure -- centred on the adventures of a colourful 72 year-old on the run with an 18 year old student. i loved the way it confounded all the stereotypes of ageing, while spinning a great adventure narrative.
This is, as another reviewer put it, a totally 'bonkers' story in which the wronged triumph over powerful political forces. Thoroughly enjoyable, funny and uplifting -- and eventful enough to make a great movie.

Brilliant
Lots of twists and turns, as expected, but a brilliant story and everything is pretty neatly rolled up at the end. Excellent narration too.

absurd accents
Always love his story lines, character development but...why do the Italian accents sound straight from Moscow? Unlistenably comedic. Seriously it ruined it for me.
