About this listen
“Go inside, Adaline. Unless you want them to see this.”
Imagine the guy you’ve always wanted just whispered that in your ear. That you have one night to see what you’ve been missing.
I’ve had a crush on Emmett Ward for as long as I can remember. And not just because he looks like a Greek god and has the audacity to walk around like he could break your headboard given the chance.
But I was friend-zoned from the start, so when he got drafted into the NFL and moved across the country, I moved on to someone else–and ended up with a broken heart.
Now Emmett’s on my doorstep claiming he never forgot about me. And this time...he’s not looking at me like we’re just friends anymore.
The heat between us is undeniable, but I’m no fool. Football will always come first for Emmet Ward, and I’m scared I’ll end up left behind with my heart in pieces again.
But when he asks for one shot to win me over, I can’t say no. Even though I already know, one night will never be enough.

DNF. Narration put me off
I didn't get that far into this audiobook. The story was average and I probably would have got through it with other narrators.
I'm afraid the narrators put me off. Samantha Brentmoor's interpretation was too "flirty/ juicy' for me and made the heroine sound really immature. She actually does a good job with male characters though. Stephen Dexter was Ok enough but didn't have the sound of male romance narrators I prefer.
