Unrealistic accent
Only issue is the narrator slipping into a posh English accent for Gamache - I understand the sentiment but it comes across as twee!!! In all the books in the series I think I’ve only heard this accent in one other

Brilliant
Another brilliant Inspector Gamache story. For a while the continuing second plot seemed disturbing and unnecessary, but it certainly develops the characters.
I’m glad I’ve visited Canada, and understand the references to Tim Hortons.
