About this listen
I've got three months before I'll be crowned King of Elleston—all because I was born two minutes before my twin brother. I thought I'd have more time, but with my father's recent death and fifty million people looking at me to lead, it's time to put aside my personal aspirations and take the crown.
Duty. Honor. Royalty.
Love is a luxury I don't have—not with a royal betrothal our laws demands I uphold.
The lines that define my choices are black and white.
But when I collide with a pink-haired American goddess who brings my world back into startling color, I know I can't take the crown without tasting her first. Willa is everything I've ever wanted—smart, sexy, funny, and wickedly independent. She accepts the stakes, knowing our relationship has an expiration date, but I'm prepared to take on Parliament and the other Royals to make her officially mine.
That is, until I find out that she's hiding secrets of her own. Secrets that could ruin everything I've worked for to keep us together.
Contains mature themes.

Good, but narration let it down.
A steamy royal romance that follows Xander, the soon-to-be King of Elleston, as he navigates duty, love, and a complicated relationship with Willa, an independent American. Their chemistry is intense, and the book delivers plenty of spicy moments.
While the story sets up future books well and features standout characters like Charlotte, who holds her ground against the queen, some plot points fall flat. Xander's sudden decision to denounce the throne and Willa's willingness to be his mistress feel rushed and out of character. The narration, particularly the female voice, also disrupts the flow at times.
Despite these flaws, it's a fun, cliché-filled romance with plenty of heat for fans of royal love stories.
