About this listen

An expanded edition of the classic on creativity by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes guides you through the dark labryinths of the psyche in search of la chispa - the ember that is the elemental source of all creative work.

Dr. Estes teaches about the hidden aspects of creativity, including the negative complexes that prey upon creative energy. The Creative Fire includes many special insights for people who create for a living: artists, writers, teachers, and others who must depend on thier creative instincts every day.

Feed Your Good Wolf

Pinkola Estes first pulled me in with ‘Woman Who Run with the Wolves’ - A lone wolf is a sick wolf, woman who run with the wolves feed their good wolf, that is their wild, intuitive, creative wolf. They connect with nature, they are truth seekers and truth sayers. So in this vein, Pinkola Estes guides us through archetype narratives that support us to be courageous, to seek out the truth about ourselves and our creative expression. Reminding us to immerse ourselves in our unique creative process, instead of focusing on the outcome, praise, fame and fortune.

We need to be extremely grateful for story tellers like Carissa Pinkola Estes. Without her, our past is silent and our future an empty desert!! Her insight is an immeasurable gift to humanity!

To enter the inner landscapes

The depths with story captured my creative spirit and the rummage of Self and all other characters/parts that where listening more intently. Inspired to land inside myself more lovingly, patiently and joyfully 🫶

Understanding my passion

Opened my soul wide open to the root understanding of my creatrix within.... and that in being an artist in every sense of the word is to do, to be, to make and create with such fierce force that allows that inner fire to be set free.
