About this listen
Three novellas and an unforgettable short story, now available together in one festive package!
"A Cowboy for Christmas" by Katherine Garbera. Annie Prudhomme never expected to be back in Marietta, Montana, and her family is fond of reminding her that she left them and the town behind in search of better things. A humiliating divorce that cost her everything she'd gained has driven her back home, and her family isn't about to welcome her back into the fold. She's in town to rebuild the old home that she inherited and to move on once again.
"Christmas at Copper Mountain" by Jane Porter. Since the loss of her family in a plane crash, Harley Diekerhoff has led a quiet life and keeps to herself. Taking the temporary job at the Copper Mountain Ranch as widower Brock Sheenan's housekeeper seems perfect for her. But her calm cocoon is invaded with the arrival of Brock's preteen twins, Mack and Molly, who've never experienced a proper Christmas, and before she knows it Harley's determined to make their holiday perfect.
"Home for Christmas" by Melissa McClone. Ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Rachel Murphy loves the scent of gingerbread baking almost as much as she enjoys creating custom edible houses at Christmastime. But she needs a bigger kitchen if she wants to make the most of her impromptu holiday business. Enter Nate Vaughn, handsome venture capitalist turned Montana dude ranch owner - and her brother's boss.
"Mistletoe Magic" by Melissa McClone. Spending a quiet Christmas housesitting and reading novels about hot cowboys sounds perfect to Caitlin. Until a stray kitten brings her face to face with Noah, her crush from college. Watching the handsome vet in action melts Caitlin's heart and brings back long-forgotten emotion. She would be safer back at the house, lost in the pages of a book. But a toe-curling mistletoe kiss tempts her to stay. Maybe she won't be spending this Christmas...alone.

In box set book order.
In box set book order.
I’d read one of these in a box set but I enjoyed listening in this box set through audible+.
A COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS Katherine Garbera
Annie came home 15 years after she just up and left as a youngster.
She was very successful in business but married a scam artist who ripped of retirees and others who could ill afford it.
She makes as much reparation as she can and comes home to Marrietta to regroup.
Her old boyfriend is now a widower with a cute young son who desperately wants a mother for Christmas.
These two hook up once again but Carson is rightly very wary of Annie’s unsettled attitude and her plans to leave as soon as her grandmother’s house.
Annie is like a confused teenager, her constant whining attitude is annoying after a few chapters.
Evan, Carsons son, was a sweetheart.
There was a lot of boring repetition, mainly Annies whining, but it also felt like it was going round in circles.
HOME FOR CHRISTMAS Melissa McClone - Bar V5 Dude Ranch 1
Goes as one expects.
Found Rachel just a bit too stubborn, seems to be a trait for heroines by this author. Not everyone is out to cheat you and rip you off.
These two dance around each other for too long.
Then Tyler warns Nate off his sister, so Nate backs off which confuses Rachel.
But Nate also has another reason for wanting Rachel to stay apart from his interest in her.
His operation Hansel & Gretel was sweet but he should have told Rachel his feelings earlier. You knew it was going to blow up spectacularly.
Then all ends happily with Nate making a very wonderful Christmas themed apology.
MISTLETOE MAGIC Melissa McClone
Extremely short story.
Loved the rescued kitten aspect but the way these two just fell back together with little talking was a bit silly. Though they do say thei will take it slowly.
CHRISTMAS AT COPPER MOUNTAIN Jane Porter - Taming of the Sheenans 1
Read in the box set through Kindle Unlimited and I listened to the audible+ version in A COPPER MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS.
Sweet but too short a time frame to be totally believable.
Temporary housekeeper job brings confusion and love.
Harley was great overall, but just very negative and emotionally stunted, with good reasons.
This is due to her horrendous past circumstances in losing her children to the stupid actions of her ex-husband.
Hardly any real communication before having sex and they knew so little about each other. Some major things were told, but never discussed or settled.
Needed an epilogue to show them settled as a family.
And what happened about her supposedly leaving that morning and a replacement housekeeper turning up?
Also will the miserable Maxine, the regular housekeeper, be replaced too.
