Publisher's Summary
Marrying your fae prince shouldn’t be this hard.
Hetta’s family now knows Wyn’s true identity, but that doesn’t mean they approve of their relationship. Princes are all very well, but Wyn’s not human - though he’s spent 10 years pretending to be.
With gossip spreading like wildfire, Hetta and Wyn receive a royal summons. The queen of Prydein has heard the rumors of fae intruders, and she's not letting Wyn go until she's satisfied that he and his people aren’t a threat. Convincing her would be a lot easier if someone wasn’t trying to blacken Wyn’s name and if his sister wasn’t trying to kill him.
But mortal politics aren’t the only problem the pair has to face. The Court of Ten Thousand Spires is still without a ruler, and the only way out may be for Wyn to assume the throne himself, meaning he and Hetta can never be together.
The Court of Mortals is book three of the Stariel Quartet.

Another winner
I’ve fallen in love with these books, with beautiful language and rich characters. I found it a bit slow for a few chapters but that soon changed. Narrator is perfect too!

Lovely
A lovely story. I started these books with the first one in the series provided free by audible. Good move because I then purchased the rest in the series. I find them thoroughly enjoyable and a refreshing difference to other series I’ve listened to, not to say better just different. I also like the narrators voice and how she draws you into the story, so thanks Finty.

My star
I have really enjoyed listening to Finty Williams's narration. She so perfectly captures the tone and expression of Lancaster's writing and she breathes such life into the characters. I love this series so much!

Great addition to the series
I’m enjoying these a lot. Well written, well read, plenty of twists and a lovely bit of world building - close enough to our past to understand and different enough for Fae to exist

Sweet but sedate
An enjoyable listen but somewhat predictable. Not as exciting or intriguing as previous books.
