About this listen
No American leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor Ron DeSantis. Now he reveals how he did it.
He played baseball for Yale, graduated with honours from Harvard Law School and served in Iraq and in the halls of Congress. But in all these places, Ron DeSantis learned the same lesson: he didn’t want to be part of the leftist elite.
His heart was always for the people of Florida, one of the most diverse and culturally rich states in the union. Since becoming governor of the Sunshine State, he has fought – and won – battle after battle, defeating not just opposition from the political left, but a barrage of hostile media coverage proclaiming the end of the world. In 2022, the governor delivered a historic, record-setting victory, winning by nearly 20 points and more than 1.5 million votes.
A first-hand account from the blue-collar boy who grew up to take on Disney and Dr Fauci, The Courage to Be Free is a rallying cry for everyone who wishes to preserve their liberties

Outstanding leadership
Ron DeSantis is a politician I much admire from afar (Sydney, Australia) and found him to be desperately needed voice of logic and reason during the COVID pandemic. Through his book I learnt so much more about him that had me even more impressed. Thank you for inspiring the world, Mr DeSantis.

Desantis talks to much but politics
This desantis book was not great but it was ok. the narrator was not Desantis but someone else in majority of the time.

A Machiavellian in the best sense
From Melbourne, Australia, Ron Desantis appears to me the best politician in a generation. A rare combination of high intelligence, work ethic, moral integrity, systematic governmental understanding, and Machiavellian cynicism to defeat opponents and effect real change.
If I could move to Florida tomorrow and help him and his team, I would.

Still not Convinced
I was super keen to get an insight into DeSantis the man. All we got in this book was thesis on US Politics. Far too much jargon, far too much self-reflection. If he used the word narrative one more time I was ready to jump off a cliff.
I've listened to a number of political books. Here, there is close to zero personality given and certainly none detected.

He's itching for a fight without malice.
DeSantis is the commonsense and intelligence that the world needs right now. America's future.
