Publisher's Summary

Ellie Truman’s widowed mum is struggling to keep Gwel Teg, the family hotel in Cornwall, afloat. Ellie is determined to do everything in her power to help her, even if that means moving back to the sleepy Cornish village she fled from broken-hearted a few years ago. Things go wrong from the start, and she’s grateful for the help from hunky guest Reece Mitchell. But does Reece have ulterior motives? Will Ellie’s efforts be for nothing?

A bit corny

Unrealistic storyline but an easy listen . Nice description of Cornwall. Reader did a good job.

Sweet but….

It’s a sweet story but predictable. Passes time whilst driving and you don’t need to focus on it too much. Well read and easy going.

Passable

The narration really annoyed me at first. But I managed to ignore it after a while. I wouldn’t listen to anything else narrated by this person

A predictable read

I liked the setting of the story, beautiful Cornish coast, which was why I chose to listen to it. But it was a predictable and fairly dull storyline. The narrator was passable, she sometimes sounded like she was trying too hard and it sounded unnaturally happy or angry!

Great listen, great story line

Good holiday read, not a deep story line, it gave me a few laughs and a little tear here and there. Overall I enjoyed this book and I love the reader Katy Sobey. Listened to her read many times.

It’s ok..

I like to listen to fluffy books at bedtime so I can drift off and I’m not kept awake with suspense or interest.
Some of these types of simple sweet books can have character and are quite charming. I listened to this one hoping it got better and the characters wouldn’t be so intensely cliche but it never got there. Fine for a listen because it was free but absolutely wouldn’t buy it.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. A lovely little romance novel that takes you away from life.

A lovely lighthearted story

The characters were sweet and real. A light hearted love story with good family values prevailing in the end. A story of hope for those hurt by the pain of past relationships. I enjoyed it. ST
